Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè (/ʤɘˈjɘʃe/ /ˈbëno/ [will] [author; writer]) is a temperate City located in the Trtskruppuqu Zone of the Engineer's Guild.

The name Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè is derived from the Sylvin language, as Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè was founded by Gîbêd, who was culturaly Iron Elf.

Climate

Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè has a yearly average temperature of 29°C (84°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè receives an average of 142 cm/y (55 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1208, by Gîbêd. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad baked earthen streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Astonishigly, the budget focused millitary grade defenses are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all preforming the same rituals to bless and anoint building,s streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holysymbols is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This city certainly loves its god.

Cultural Notes

While Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Mëmthës-bëno Sêdè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.
